According to Pierre Bourdieu and his followers, social class is defined not just by economic capital, but also by social and cultural capital. What shapes does cultural capital take today? How is it operationalised and measured sociologically? How is cultural capital converted to economic capital, and vice versa? How is class consciousness formed and distracted in the age of culture wars and social media?

The performance-cum-discussion project Class struggle? looks at the complex social and class relations in today’s society in three subject-specific chapters. Each chapter takes place in a specific architectonic configuration and is accompanied by a topical visual element.
