Bio: Benjamin Peters is an author and media scholar. He is Associate Professor of Media Studies at the University of Tulsa and affiliated fellow at the Information Society Project at Yale Law School. In addition to the author of How Not to Network a Nation: The Uneasy History of the Soviet Internet (MITP 2016; 2017 Vucinich prize, 2018 Computer History Museum prize, 2016 PROSE honorable mention), he is the editor of Digital Keywords: A Vocabulary of Information Society & Culture and is currently working on the stupid history of smart technology in the global North.
